OUR STORY
Established in 1999, the Wyoming Women’s Foundation (WYWF) is one of a family of funds held at the Wyoming Community Foundation. WYWF makes grants and spearheads initiatives that benefit women and girls as well as our communities overall. As a statewide leader dedicated to promoting women and girls, we leverage funds through our endowment, and grantmaking is focused on lasting change. WYWF is advised by a volunteer board that helps to set granting and advocacy direction, and to raise funds to carry out its mission. The mission of the Wyoming Women’s Foundation is to invest in the economic self-sufficiency of women and opportunities for girls in Wyoming.
The Wyoming Women’s Business Center (WWBC) empowers entrepreneurs, especially women, through our counseling, training, and micro-finance programs to start, expand, and sustain small businesses in the state of Wyoming. We strive to advance self-sufficiency and equality.
Let’s change the conversation and put economic security and equality over politics. When women have access to economic resources, we reinvest in our communities. These economic resources make positive change for women, families, and communities around the Equality State. Real change will take all of us working together. Find out how you can make a difference.
MISSION: Throughout Wyoming’s history, its women have been brave, strong, and impactful. The mission of Women in Wyoming is to tell the inspiring stories of contemporary Wyoming women through art and media, celebrating their achievements, power, and learned wisdom.
From artists to politicians, ranchers, authors, businesswomen, and community stewards, the project highlights some of Wyoming’s changemakers, rule breakers, and innovators through podcast interviews and portrait photography.
By illuminating the power of women through art and media, Women in Wyoming is dedicated to pioneering a platform to promote the integrity, diversity, and profound legacy of Wyoming women and girls.
OUR WORK: The Wyoming Afterschool Alliance (WYAA) was created June 12, 2007 to support and promote quality, education-based out of school time (OST) programs that positively impact Wyoming’s youth and families. WYAA is a linchpin, connecting afterschool providers to the necessary resources, technical assistance and training opportunities.
WYAA is part of the National Network of Statewide Afterschool networks funded through the C.S. Mott Foundation.
